Fazler Engineering & Architecture will engineer, design, and draft a Foundation Plan for your project. A plan, details, and notes shall be provided to accurately depict the design. It is normally recommended that a Professional Geotechnical Engineering Firm prepare a Geotechnical Engineering Investigation and Report prior to foundation design. The bearing capacity and soil engineering properties contained within such a report serves as the basis for the foundation design. As such, Fazler Engineering & Architecture will solicit a fee estimate and coordinate with a qualified geotechnical engineer to perform a Geotechnical Investigation and to provide you with a Report of Findings. In the event that a Geotechnical Engineering Investigation and Report is not provided, Fazler Engineering & Architecture will assume a soil bearing capacity for the foundation design and will specify minimum requirements on the plans. Revisions to the plans may be required if the actual soil bearing capacities on site are found to be inadequate when they are tested during the construction phase. |
